Phil is a partner and head of our Rural Land & Business team.

He specialises in rural property and countryside matters, advising landowners, prospective landowners, farmers, conservationists, developers and banks on rural business matters.

Phil is interested in rural affairs and land reform and deals with the legal aspects of landed estate management, agriculture, forestry, succession planning, renewables projects and the sale and acquisition of landed estates, forests and farms. He advises on salmon fishings and sporting rights. He is also expert on the sale and acquisition of Scottish country houses.
